Airwallex’s key offerings, including local currency accounts in over 12 currencies, a multi-currency wallet in 44 currencies, and payouts to 150 countries with its proprietary local payment network, are now available to businesses in Canada. The full suite of Airwallex’s global products, including multi-currency cards, spend management, and online payments, will be progressively rolled out in the market.
Airwallex Supports Ambitious Canadian Businesses
Ravi Adusumilli, General Manager of Americas, stated that businesses must scale without borders, move money across currencies with ease, and manage their finances across markets with a single integrated platform.
The launch of global payment services in Canada enables Airwallex to support Canadian businesses that want to grow internationally, as well as international businesses that have operations in Canada. Already, Airwallex supports Canadian businesses across eCommerce, professional services, and technology sectors, simplifying payments from collections to payouts, streamlining multi-currency management and optimizing cost savings.
Airwallex’s Expansion and Ripple Partnership
Airwallex’s further expansion into Canada follows strong growth in the Americas region, with its customer base increasing by over 300% YoY. Globally, Airwallex continues to scale at pace, covering more than 150 countries and enabling US$50 billion in annualized transactions.
It’s worth noting that Airwallex is a Ripple partner, which means that as its customer base grows, so does the potential demand for XRP. This could have a positive impact on the XRP price, especially given the company’s recent expansion into China, one of the largest ecommerce markets in the world.
Founded in 2015 in Melbourne, Airwallex is one of the world’s fastest-growing fintech companies, operating across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, with nearly 1,300 employees in 19 major locations globally.
